Series finales have always been hard to get right, but there’s one show that did: Starz’s Spartacus.īefore Black Sails and The Last Kingdom, Spartacus nearly rivaled the popularity of HBO’s Game Of Thrones. Many series unfortunately don’t get it right, whether that is due to the pressures finales have to live up to or creators becoming bored with the work they once loved. If your final episode isn’t successful, you risk not only your fanbase turning on you, but the show’s legacy crumbling under the weight of a lackluster ending. The problem with series finales is that you only get to do them once.
